While never a full member of the Wadaiko Newark Taiko Group, "Susie" was always one of our strongest supporters. She had an undying love for Taiko and played whenever she was able to find the time. Undoubtedly, her early life in Japan formed the foundation for her love of Taiko and Japanese culture. Her later years were filled with her love of her church, the Southern Alameda County Buddhist Church, and for her Taiko friends. Few people in this world are as kind and caring as Susie was. Even fewer are willing spend hours working to support those they believe in. All of us in Wadaiko Newark are saddened by the loss of a wonderful friend. Susie, we miss you! |
